When nothing goes your way.
We all have those days.
When your world falls apart.
When you feel like It's to late to start over
The light is before my feet,
Yet still I turn in retreat,
to the pain that faces ahead.
Will I wake up, will I instead
Catch the dreams that run from me.
Walk straight the paths ahead.
Extremity, pain in naivety.
Can you see the face
Of the only one who loves you.
Take me back
To that place when it was all ok
To the place where they all cared about me.
We all have those days, when your dreams shatter
When your hopes lie barren, but oh so cold,
Does it even matter?
Velocity, the path gets harder every day
God just one more.
One more step for me to take.
One step closer to you,
A better chance to see your face.
Look down, see your son awake.
