Blind Artist

You ever get the feeling of being a blind artist?

Having this urge to do so much, always doing your best and getting the dreams and images in your head for what you want people to see out, as best you can. A blind artist that, might be painting a very ugly picture, or might be painting a masterpiece.

Despite this urge to create, he will never know which he created. But paint he must.

One might say we can all be like that at times. Struggling so hard to be accepted by those around us, or to somehow improve their lives even if in some small way. Sometimes the tiniest stroke of paint to us, can make or break a masterpiece for someone else. It can change the whole world of someone who is dive-bombing.

A smile, a hand shake, an I love you. A tiny unexpected gift on a windshield.

Simple things, such simple momentary things, can put all physical art to shame. Simple things that stay in a persons memory and keep them going for another painful day. …But like so many artists, we die never knowing the effect our art has on others. We die never knowing any legacy we leave behind.

Are you painting a picture of a cold shoulder, of a tight lip, of a locked wallet, of a stone heart?

Are you painting a picture of a smile, a hug, a pleasant surprise?

Perhaps the blind artist may never see his own work… or the expressions on the peoples faces who look at it… but he can hope! He can dream, and imagine. He can do is best in what he does on his canvas knowing there is a chance If he trys hard enough, and struggles enough… eventually someone might look into his ragged blotchy painting and find something they enjoy about it.

Perhaps if he trys hard enough, someone might see what he sees, in his minds eye.

Just a blind artist.
